Hillary Valderrama represents employees in matters involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, failure to accommodate, and other issues.  She also provides practical advice to help employers navigate complex employment issues and maintain healthy, productive work environments.

Before joining Trister, Ross, Schadler & Gold, Ms. Valderrama enforced federal civil rights laws prohibiting employment discrimination for nearly fifteen years, first at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and later with the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division.  She investigated, litigated, and successfully negotiated resolutions to disputes involving harassment and other types of discrimination based on race, gender, religion, national origin, age, disability, military service, and citizenship status.  Throughout her time with the federal government, Ms. Valderrama also worked with employers to ensure that they had the knowledge and tools needed to comply with federal employment laws and regulations.
