Part-Time Intellectual Property Lawyer

We are looking for an attorney to work part-time (approximately 10 hours per week) for our firm’s intellectual property law practice group. Our firm represents mostly non-profit organizations so some familiarity with non-profit law is very helpful, but not required.

Substantive knowledge of trademark and copyright law is essential. Experience with the Trademark Office and drafting and reviewing contracts would be particularly useful. License to practice law, excellent academic credentials, and strong writing skills are required.

To be considered, you must either be a member of the District of Columbia Bar or be eligible and prepared to submit an application to waive into the DC Bar. The position is intended to be remote, although the attorney could work in our Dupont Circle office, if preferred.

We will consider a variety of experience levels although at least three (3) years of experience with trademark and copyright law is required. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

We take equal opportunity employment seriously. We welcome all applicants, regardless of race, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, religion, age, pregnancy, disability, work-related injury, covered veteran status, genetic information, marital status, family responsibilities, and all other factors protected by law.

Please email cover letters with resumes to info@tristerross.com. In the email subject line, write “IP Attorney Application” followed by your full name.

We will consider applications on a rolling basis until the position has been filled.
